Anti-Aircraft (AA): These weapons were designed to fire rapidly at high angles to combat enemy aircraft. Weapons included .30 and .50 caliber machine guns, 37mm and 40 MM guns, 3-inch fixed and mobile guns and 90mm and 120mm guns. Listening devices were used to direct fire and searchlights were used to illuminate targets at night.
